Rain Sounds for Sleeping

Our first films are being prepared. This is a preview of the planned series.

Rain sounds for sleeping work best when nothing in them asks for your attention. That is the idea behind every rain film at Fay. We find a quiet place, set the camera down, and let the rain do the rest.

There is no music laid over the top. No voice. No sudden cuts. Just the sound of water on leaves, on rooftops and on an empty road, with the recording source noted on each film. The picture is filmed in 4K, so if you leave the screen on, it stays soft and easy to look at. If you turn it off, the sound holds the room on its own.

Many people find that steady rain makes a quiet room feel less empty. It gives the mind something gentle to rest on, so small noises fade into the background. Our films run long, often an hour or more, so you can press play once and let it be.

Each film on this page is chosen for a calm, even sound. We leave out sharp thunder and loud gusts, and we say so clearly when a storm does pass through.

Pick one that feels right tonight. Turn the volume low. Let the rain carry you the rest of the way.

Nothing here yet. The next one is being filmed.

A few quiet answers

Is there thunder in these rain films?

Most of our rain films have no thunder at all. When a distant rumble does appear, we note it in the title or description. That way you always know what you are pressing play on.

How long are the films?

The first long films are planned around an hour. Every published film page will show its actual runtime, so you can choose without guessing.

Is the sound real or added later?

Each film description will identify the audio source. Natural audio is preferred. Where voices need removing, a cleared, licensed ambience recording may replace it and will be disclosed.

Can I play these with the screen off?

The films can be enjoyed as audio, but screen off playback depends on your YouTube app, device and subscription. Check your player settings before settling in.
